Description of the field of study

The purpose of the course is to provide knowledge of financial markets, with particular emphasis on empirical methods used in analysis in financial markets, and practical skills for obtaining financial data processing. The detailed scope of the CFA degree program is consistent with the scope of CFA Level 2 and Level 3 accreditation requirements. 

Financial Analytics is a 3 semester course aimed at people from different parts of the world who want to improve their competencies related to big data processing, analysis and evaluation. Such competencies in the era of big data, artificial intelligence and the offshoring of corporate financial functions, are particularly relevant today. 

Career prospects

Graduates of the Financial Analytics will acquire the information and skills that are recognized worldwide as necessary for the proper performance of professions related to the investment industry.  

It prepares you to work as investment advisor and financial analyst.  

Potential jobs:  

– financial institutions and investment companies (banks, mutual funds, pension funds and insurance companies), 

– brokerage houses,  

– PE/VC funds, 

– family offices, 

– corporate portfolio managers,  

– consulting firms, 

– company boards/controlling departments. 

Graduates can take up employment not only in accounting offices, financial centers, auditing companies, but also in various types of institutions of controlling nature. The knowledge gained will also allow you to run your own business or provide consulting and advisory services. The combination of knowledge of financial and managerial accounting will also predestine our graduates to take up the positions of managing director, financial director, specialist in managerial accounting or controlling. 

Strengths of field of study

Students on completion of the Financial Analyst course will have the necessary knowledge to become Chartered Financial Analyst Level I, II and III.
